Around the Nürburgring - in a pickup!

The Nürburgring is hallowed ground for European motor racing enthusiasts.  Its various lengths and laps have hosted virtually every big name in racing since long before World War II, both people and cars.  That's why the spectators appear so surprised to see Ford's SVT Raptor sport pickup tackle the Ring in style.

Well . . . a Ferrari or Porsche it ain't, but that's not bad!

Now the question is.....
Did they make it around faster than Clarkson did in a diesel S-type Jag?

Better yet....

Did they give fraulein Sabine a chance in the Raptor?

LOL, yep I'm betting that the Germans were checking the beer... That had to have been fun too!

The amazing thing about a dancing bear is not how well it dances.

I really want to drive that loop someday.

Maybe even in my own car, if I win the lottery. :)

There is an engine dyno test I have used on Ford products back in the 90's called the Nurburgring Test Cycle. Some of us technicians speculated if it was written in a German Gasthaus or some topless bar in Dearborn.
